October - International Gloster Breeders Association
The Gloster show of the year!!! Gloster breeders must enter this one. See how your birds measure up to the best in the
UK. Enjoy a drink and a laugh with breeders from all over the world on the Saturday night at one of several venues/public
houses in Nuneaton. Refreshments are available at the show hall. Held on the third weekend in October. I will show here and
take some probiotic with me to sell.
October - Yorkshire Gloster Canary Club
This is one of the traditional all Gloster shows, in fact the first one that I showed at, back in the 90's and will
always have a 'soft spot' for. They really are a friendly bunch, so take a trip to Ripon in scenic North Yorkshire to check
it out. The Glosters tend to be of a high standard, however novices and less experienced exhibitors are welcomed just as much
as the top names that are likely to be there. The bacon butties are recommended! Held on the 4th Sunday in October.
November - Midland Gloster
This is always a well attended show with birds of a high standard. Try to win this one! Beginning of November - 1st Sunday.
November - Herts & Essex Gloster Society
A warm welcome awaits all Gloster fanciers on the 2nd Sunday of each year.
November - Humberside Gloster Association
Now this is a show that I must recommend. Always a good entry of top quality birds and a very good novice entry.
Novices should feel free to talk to the exhibitors, since we will try to encourage and help them in any way we can. A top
notch Gloster show, top exhibitors, high standards, around 600 birds, around 100 novice birds, plenty of people to talk to.
Well worth a visit, and enter your birds! Oh, did I forget to mention the delicious selection of home made snacks, sandwiches
and cakes on offer? Cheap too. Now held in Newport village. Overseas judges often invited. I will show here and take some
probiotic with me to sell.
December - East Anglian Gloster Fancy Canary Association
Record entries have been achieved in the last few years. Another show that is going from strength to strength. Birds
can be benched on the Saturday evening, when there is a social gathering of Gloster enthusiasts and their families at a Kings
Lynn Hotel, hosted by Nick and Annalain Barrett.
If you require membership details for any of these clubs, please feel free to contact me.
